Dickies Bbq Sauce Recipe

vaolimue @ 2009-12-04T15: 45:00

it again for an eternity ago, let's start at the same! I've been here 4 months, that's half! And just in time for this event I can tell, I'm done with the semester. The last Rotación, Sala de Partos, so has the delivery room, I really liked, we have included patients who presented to the physicians, Diagnoses made, the next steps, CTG, ultrasound, blood was taken (all of course in consultation with the doctor), and has its patient then practically until birth or until caesarean accompanied (and, if you ask nicely has helped the pediatricians after the initial treatment of the child). So much responsibility you get in Germany, almost never, and there's a lot of fun! The audit was on Wednesday and I think (I hope) went very well. Only were all clinical cases, which can make writing had to edit, so diagnosis, called risk factors, forward, Treatment, the medication, dosage, etc. Actually, quite a reasonable method of verification, I think, but it is also difficult .. We'll see. Either way I would like to stress here again that I now legendary four and a half months have holiday! As long as I'm probably not release it until I retire ... And I of course already a whole mountain full of ideas and projects for this time, but more on that later.

Since my last entry did not happen so overly much, I was quite a lot in the university, with the head but even most of the travel plan, we were in a volcanic mud bath (very slippery affair, consistency like soft chocolate, huge mess, but has made a lot of fun) and a weekend in Cartagena. Cartagena, a colonial city on the coast, not huge, but all that is missing in Barranquilla me a bit: There are great places where people are really well, stylish cafés, you can sit on benches in a park, there are even a park, several open-air salsa bars, you can still walk around at night because you never alone in the streets ... There is a life outside the houses and stuff like a town center. Barranquilla consists mainly of residential buildings, some industrial, shopping centers, and if you can identify anything as a city center, then this is the area where you should not go alone better, and certainly not as a foreigner . And then nothing at all as rubia, as Blonde. One can not simply walk through "the city", one needs to have a goal where one goes, and these are then mostly restaurants because it's not really much else out there. That's kind of sad, but try just the people in my house, if possible to do much: We go to modern ballet performances (the audience seemed somewhat shocked, people are going here in little theater or concerts, culturally it is unfortunately not so far away), try to make trips, new Bars and restaurants go out to the much-heralded indie parties (a rarity! They usually do it after all to play for about an hour normal music, they inevitably slip into their Vaillenato, Salsa and Reggaeton Back to return ck ...), make Chiva-tours (a kind of wooden, brightly painted party bus, which carried with stops in selected bars and nightclubs, the City driving, you get so much rum and cola as you like, back of the bus sits a live band, people dance while standing and on the benches, a mess, and then are all happy and drunk .) or go to the beach.

The Coste ñ os, the people of the coastal region seem to differ much from the rest of the country. Everyone here is lovely and nice, all are friendly and helpful, I have been a lot of nice people to know, you go something to eat or drink together, dance salsa in the evening (I was now told by several pages, I could already dance like a Columbian, high praise! :)), But more for the vast majority of people are unfortunately just too convenient. And the fact they are all alike astonishing. They love their music, but listen to nothing else, they like everything that the U.S. is similar (malls, big cars, Blackberries (new all-rounder phones), fast food.). The Colombian girls look like dark brown all over with her long hair as possible, as high heels and possible American clothes, and call each other all mi amor, mi vida, mi reina, mi ciel, Mi Corazon (all! also completely unknown people, the doctors give their patients, sometimes even that!). The Colombian men are (unfairly, and in contrast to the women), unfortunately, some not so nice, rather small, and especially in a very striking way cheesy, romantic, and almost a bit slimy. Southerners. is honking on the street, whistling hiss, and sometimes even the door of a moving car ripped open call to anyone behind, and sometimes one feels from the whole look really taken off. Also in the flirting they tend to go a bit too far. Often you get to about 30 seconds talking to hear you have the most beautiful eyes of this world how stars, the sworn infinite love, or better yet offer first of all have a shot of rum, before continuing. Recently one of the Germans came out of my house over to me and said about literally "You, Viola, because I have a friend who actually looks even better than me, and, well, who would have liked a German friend, and he has hold of you heard that you're the only single among the Germans here, and you sow indeed look quite good, and now wanted to he asks whether you meet her you want? " ??!!? Uh ... No. In the long run it is tiring, but really it is always pretty funny.

also in humor, they are quite different. I find her jokes not funny. And they can not laugh at Emily's or mine. Sarcasm is largely foreign to them. Situation comedy. I think it is normal that the humor from country to country, and probably it is also normal that he is more different, depending on the countries are further apart. Nevertheless, this is a bit sad. All the more funny it is with the people from my house, all of which come from Europe, and at least have a similar sense of humor. The other day I was on skype with my family, of course, seen with a camera, and when the French people, they were suddenly all three stark naked with only a tiny foam rubber figurines before their most important piece into the room and have my family said hello. Who found the incredibly funny, my grandma is almost flipped out of the chair with laughter, the French have been happy and it was them just a little bit embarrassing. When I heard that the next day told the people in my group at the university, they were just shocked, shocked. Downright indignant.

seems As I said all but very Coste ñ o to-be typical, and I'm incredibly excited and look forward to the pretty inland. I guess I'll miss it all very nice, when I first losreise, but after 4 months I am now really first muy emocionado on something new. A bit more student life. A bit more variety. More culture. Various people. Temperatures below 36 ° C. Normal music (and is normal in this case, just something else other than salsa, merengue and Vaillenato).

I will miss but as the newspaper Aldia, every day on the cover of the latest murders, and every Monday brings the murder of the week, with photo and detailed explanation, of course. Macabre. The newspaper was always around in Sala de Partos and became doctors, Internos and students read with great interest.

is also absolutely indispensable the free soup that you get at night in front of the Canta Gallo, our favorite salsa bar. Something we should introduce auchmal in Germany, I think.

The street vendors in front of our house ... They run fully with either a large bowl, avocados on his head, or a donkey cart full of fruit and vegetables (in one case, metal waste) through the streets and call it from an unexpectedly loud voice what they have to offer.

Less is missing me well beyond tacky, strongly emphasized Snowman Christmas Ornament of the entire city. That just does not fit. There are about 35 ° C and in our neighbor's garden is a 2 meters tall, with air inflated snowman ... All flash and glitter and it reminds me very much of the amino settlement here in Wiesbaden to their high times.

This weekend Hannah and I go first to friends in Montería, a small town south of Barranquilla, in their river there seems to be true crocodiles, from there to Medellín, the onetime drug stronghold in Colombia, and then to Bogota. I come at some point shortly before Christmas, until then I only have about Internet Cafes Internet, Skype is so difficult first. But you shall not prevent it, of course, continue to write me nice emails and I'm always thrilled to hear from you! I'm pretty excited about the next 4 months, most of the time I will travel, a month clerkship in Bogotá, always stops in Barranquilla, Carnival ... And something tells me that it's all pretty will pass quickly.

Either way, I will write again soon and report. Until then I wish you all a tangerine, cookies, candles, tea and gingerbread-rich season of Advent, our improvised paper and Advent candles burning and brave, even if it is between palm trees and sun cream may be a little inauthentic acts . Next week we want to brave the temperatures and bake cookies ...

The very best regards and very soon, Viola.
